Sea Queen, Magneto and Lord Kelvin ran four furlongs in 51sec, the first named appearing to best advantage, Cronstadt beat Perle d'Or and Golden Loop, five furlongs, in lmin 2 3-ssec, and Laius sprinted half a mile in 48sec. Armlet accounted for Adria in a six furlongs gallep, taking lmin 15 2-ssec, while Idealism beat Fauvas over five furlongs in lmin ssec. Sir Tristram registered lmin 32Kec for seven furlongs. Good working exercise was executed by Kkia, Kilindini, Kilwinning, Taitoko, Polymorphous, San Lass, Swimming Belt, Succession, Bollin, Husband-' man, and Flitaway. Effort beat Gold Lace, running the five furlongs' m 1 min 2|se?. The probable starters for the Chalenge Stakes are Ponatas, Polymorphous, Formby, King Soult, and Gold Lace. Armlec is a strong fancy for the Thompson Handicap, and great interest will be taken in the mare's performance over a mile j course. Effort may be reserved for the Railway Handicap.
