MASTERTON TECHNICAL SCHOOL.
Classes met at the Technical School las': evening as follows: — Commercial Subjects, Mr Haslam; Dressmaking Miss Johnstone; Woolclassing, Mr Sam Wood; Sign and Ticket Writing, Mr E. J. Chilton; Building Construction, Mr F. Edward Lamb. Most of the classes were well attended, the commercial class having no less than 35 pupils present. On the whole there is every indication of excellent work being done at this institution during the current year. Up to the present the secretary nas received two inquiries re the formation of a class in.woodworking, while no less than seven have intimated their desire to take up woodcarving. In the case of this litter subject it is extremely probable that das'* work will be started almost immediatly. There is every probability of a branch class in woolwoik being started shortly at Mangamahoe, under the intsruction of Mr S. Wood.
