INCREASED WAGES.
RAILWAY COMPANY'S ACTION.
Received April 4, 9.40 a.m. NEW YORK, April 3, The Central Railway has increased by seven per cent, the salaries of all employees receiving less than 200 dollars a mmth who are employed eastward of Buffalo. Companies employing 45,000 unorganised bituminous miners in Maryland and West Virginia have voluntarily increased wages by 5 per cenr. Last week the Steel Trust decided to raise the wages of 225,000 employees by six per cent. It is estimated thct before tir-* general movement for increased wages JJends, thn American workers wil! have a ri?e in u ages over ihe 1909 aggregate of one hundred "lillirn pounds annually.
