The extension of the P. and 0. service to New Zealand has proved so satisfactory that the company has decided to resume next season for six months instead of three. Advices were received from the London Office to-day giving additional information in the cable published on the 29th. Six steamers uf the "M* class are t0 be employed. The first to call at Nwe the Mongolia, which will arrive at Melbourne on 14th November. Thereafter a steamer will be despatched every four weeks and the extended service will be concluded by the leaving; London on 2r>d February.
