"MUTTON FOR THE KIDS."
The West Australian Methodist Conference has resolved to urge the Government to suppress Sunday spurts and enforce tha law against betting advertisements. Whippet racing is alleged to be demoralising the goldfields. It was stated that a married man at Kalgoorlie, who owns a racing dog, gave the following order to the butcher:—"Give me a couple of pounds of the best steak for the whippet, and a flap of mutton for the kids."
