Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd report having held a very., successful clesrir™ «ale.on account of Messrs Beattie and Crooke, veslerriay mere was a large attendance and bidding throughout was brisk, Cows made from £5 5s • draught horses £B, £9; mare and foal, £lB 10s; aged mare, £is; foals, £7 15s. We also submitted a large catalogue of farm implements and sundries, and these brought satisfactory prices. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report at their weekly sale yesterday■:—We submitted a heavy catalogue in sheep, rams, cattle and pigs. The quality of tne stock being fairly good, and an unproved market, we were' enabled to make a total clearance at rates in advance of recent markets. The hulk of the breeding ewes offered, although young, were on the poor side, I which considerably affected the re- | suits. Four and 6 tooth ewes, poor ' 9s to 9s 6d; 2 tooth ewes, poor 9s; j good sound f.m. ewes, 8s to 9s; medi ium class. 7s 6d; failing, 7s; culls, j ss; best shorn lambs, very forward 8s; strong lambs, 7s; others, 6s; small, ss; 2 tooth Lincoln rams, | threequarter guinea to one guinea; : ased. 10s; Romneys, 15s; forward | erown bullocks, £7; 2fcyr steers, £4 | IBs; 2yr, £3 15s; store cows, 40s to ' 455; weaners, 255; store pigs, 10s; I weaners, 5s to 6s. We quote:—2 tooth ewes ( lis, 3s to 12s Id; lambs, 5a lOd, 6s 4d, 7s 4d, 7s to 7s 6d; mixed ages breeding ewes, poorer sorts, 3s 6d to 6s 9d; better sorts, 7s, 7s 3d, 8s to 9s 6d. Cattle. - 2 year steers £3 8s 6d; mixed weaners, 22s to 25s 6d; store cows, £2 10s to £2 19s.
