PAHIATUA NEWS.

(Own Correspondent). Friday. A special meeting of the Pahiatua branch of the Farmers' Union is to b. held in the secretary's office at 2.H0 p.m. to-morrow (Saturday), to make final arrangements for the course of tuition in woolelassing. The secretary, Mr J. A. Walsh, has received applications for enrolment from trrirty students. Promises of wool have been received from several nf the leading farmers, and Messrs Dean Bros., of the Scarborough Fellmongery, have promised to send one uule. The secretary will be pleassd to receive further samples of wool to be classified, as the greater the variety of wool, the better will the instructor, Mr y. Wood, be able to demonstrate the importance of this branch of farming. The annual meeting of Bush Rubgy Union is to be hel.l at Harnua to-morrow evening, at 8 p m. A meeting of the ArgiculUral and Pastoral Association is to tie held tomorrow evening, at 7.30 pm The business ia the election of officers for the incoming year, and appointing' a committee to draw up plans and specifications for laying out the six acres leased from the Racing Club. The Rexdale Dairy Co.'s supply is decreasing, being at pr esent about : 800 gallons. The daily output of ! cheese is about 7201b5. Mr J. G. 1 Brechin is the largest supplier. The company is naying lOilb per lb for butter fat this mont'i.
