A meeting of the Ked Star juniors will be held at ttie Y.M.C.A. building this evening, when the election of a captain and the various committees will take pace. The Forty Mile Bush Rugby Union's annual meeting will be held at Hamua this evening. The annual meeting of the Gladstone Football Club was held last week, Mr A. E. Booth presiding. The report and balance sheet, showing a credit balance of £l4 10s was adopted. Officers of the club were elected as follows: —Patron, Mr W. C. Buchanan, M.P.; President, Mr John Strang; Vice-presidents, Messrs A. Turner, S. York, N. Willoughby, H. Day, Rangi Karehoma; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr R. Cooper; Management and Match Committee, Messrs D. Thompson, A. Johnson, G. Sexton, J. Corlett; Delegates to the Union, Messrs A. E. Booth, A. Johnston, N. Douglas. The medals presented by Mr W. M. Halley, were won by D. Thompson (bsst back), and R. McLaren (forward). The subscription was fixed at 5s for seniors, 3s for juniors.
