FIVE NEW CRATERS ACTIVE. CROWDS OF TOURISTS WATCH- ■ LNG THE L.AVA. ROME, March 26. Mount Etna's violence is increasing, and five new craters are now active. Crowds nf tour is's are watching the advancing lava.
Many religious precessions are parading the stieets in the neigh bouring triwns, and the churches are crowded with panic stricken people praying that fuitner cm-aster may be averted. The craters are hurling stones like volcanic bombs. A later report states that the lava is advancing at the rate of a metre ' (39 inches) a minute upon Bolpasso, and Cardinal Nava has taken the \ miraculous veil of Saint Agatha to i stop the flow.
