ETNA ACTIVE.
ROME, March 24. Etna is throwing out lava ard stones. Frequent shocks ara being felt at Catania and Messina. THE CRATERS THROWING OUT LAVA. Received March 25, 5 p.m. ROME, March 24. Ten craters on Etna are now throwing out lava, which threatens several villages.
TWO VILLAGES DESTROYED.
Received March 25, 5 p.m. ROME, March 25. The lava from four craters joined and made a stream 1,500 feet wide, and twelve feet deep. It is descending at the rate of half-a-mile hourly. The lava destroyed the villages of Capriolo and Baello, and is threatening Belpasso. The inhabitants are placing sacred relics in front of the houses. Twenty-three shocks were registered at Etna Observatory in eigit hours.
