DISASTERS AT SEA.
THE TUG PORT JACKSON
CAPTAIN EXONERATED OF BLAME.

The Marine Court found that the wreck of the tug Port Jackson, on February 12tb, at Catherine Hill Bay, was due to a flaw in the machinery causing the breakdown.
The Court exonerated the captain of all blame, and complimented him on his goud seamanship in getting his vessel to theland.
The vessel was returning to Sydney after towing the Manurewa to Newcastle, and ran into a southerly blow.
A COLLISION TUG SANK. Received March 23, 9.25 p,tri. SYDNEY, March 32. The steamer Manapouri.from Newcastle collided with the tug Gratitude off Terrigal. The tug sank in a few minutes. The Manapouri rescued the crew and brought them and the punt, which the tug was towing, into Sydney.
