Alan Thompson, a resident of Kalgoorlie, has come to an arrangement with Captain Scott in connection with accompanying the Antarctic expedition as geologist.

Mr Thomptjn was the Rhodes scholar, who wiiiit to Oxford from New Zealand. He will proceed to Sydney to confer with Professor David, and afterwards ijoes to New Zealand to join the Terra Nova.
