JUDGES' REMARKS,

Mr 0. Percy's stack was 55 feet at the base. It was fairly even in build irom base to top. The butt was very regular in spring, but the bang of the sheaf was barely as Rood as that of Mr Evans' stack. Protection and the hang of the sheaf at eaves, and the pitch of the roof above the same were very good. The hang of sheaf in the roof, the shape anl compactness of the roof, and the general proportion and finish were good. A little slackness was noticeable at the apex, and the addition of four or five more sheaves would have been a decided improvement. Altogether a wall-built stack, capable of turning a winter's rain.

Mr F. Evans' stack was also about 55ft at bate, and even and regular in build. The butt was a trifle irregular, there being a bulge about midway up. The protection and hang of sheaf and eaves were good. The pitch of the roof immediately above the eaves could have been slightly improved upon. The general pitch of the roof and the hang of the sheaves therein and compactness were good. The roof in our opinion was a little straight; a concave roof is to be preferred Mr Daly's stack was about 52ft at base. The butt had a decided list, which detracted from the general appearance of the stack. The han« of the sheaves in the roof was decidedly good, but the "joints" were not broken nearly enough Decided openings between sheaves from eave to apex were noticeable. Notwithstanding this defect, the roof was a lairly safe one.
