DAIRYING IN THE SOUTH ISLAND.

At a well attended meeting to-day, as the outcome of the meeting held threee weeks ago, and a vigorous canvas since made of the country, it was unanimously resolved "that a j co-operative limited liability com pany be formed with the object of erecting a central butter factory at Aahburton, and creameries wherever sufficient inducement offers." The capital of the company was fixed at £5,000. and Mr Hugo Priedlander was elected chairman of a provisional directorate. Between 13,000 and 14,000 cows are being guaranteed for the first year, with suDstantial increases for the second and third I years.
