STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their weekly sale at Eketahuna as follows:—We had a very heavy yarding of sheep, but the quality on the whole was poor, and consequently bidding was very slack. A number of lines were passed under the hammer, but the bulk was sold by private treaty betore the day ended. Prices for second quality stuff were considerably lower than at last sale. We quote:—Lambs, 7s, 7s sd, 7s 7d; 2-tooth wethers, lis, lis 3d, lls6d, lls9d, 12s; 2-tooth ewes, small, 9s 8d to 12s; mixed aged ewes, 7s, 7s 9d, 8a lOd to 9? Id; poorer sorts, 2s 3d, 2s sd, 3s 2d, 4s 3d to 4s lOd. Cattle.—Fat cows, £3 2s 6d to £4; mixed weaners, 23s 6d to z7s. Our next sale will be held on Friday, April Ist.
