AMUSEMENTS.

THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES, The new powerful light installed in the Foresters' Hall was a great factor in the huge success of the splendid programme produced last night. The new pictures are a really first-class lot. "The Millionaire Cowboy" is an American life 3 tory and depicts the cowboy life with wonderful vividness. "In the Watches of the Night" is an intensely dramatic series, and it is a thrilling moment when a distraught father attempts to shoot his sick child to save her from starvation. The "comics" are very good, especially "Why Girls Leave Home," and "The Biter Bit." The same programme will be shown to-night.
