MASTERTON HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.
The monthly meeting of the Masterlon Hospital Trustees wa3 held yesterday. There were present — . Messrs J. B. Keith ((chairman); W. Fisher, J. J. Mead, J. H. Murray Jackson, J. C. Ewington and H J. O'Leary. Ihe Treasurer reported .-—Receipts since last meeting, £562 6s; expenditure, f246 5s 7d; balance at date. £BB7 16a. Infectious Diseases Hospital: Receipts £173 6s; expenditure, £Bl 7s 6d; balance at date, £142 3s 3d. Accounts totalling £B3 6s 3d were passed for payment. A letter was received from Mr A. H. Rothenberg, resigning his position as honorary dental surgeon to the Hospital. The resignation was accepted with regret, and thanks for _pa3t services. Mr E. Gallichan, enclosing a receipt for five years' subscription to the Hospital for the "New Zealand Times." Uen Gen wrofe enclosing a receipted account for fruit, etc., as a subscription to the Hospital. The Matron's diary showed 16 patients in the Hospital at the beginning of the month; eight had been admitted, and nine discharged, leaving 15 patients under treatment. Only one tender was received for the Reconstruction of the septic tank It was reso'ved that the tender of Mr Tate at £132 be accepted, and Messrs Murray Jackson and J. C Ewington be appointed to sign the contract on tehalf of the committee. Estimates for the comingr vear were submitted by the secretary, and a copy ordtred to be forwarded to the new Bjard.
The secretary was instructed ti have the report and balance sheet for the year printed and circulated.
Votes of thanks were accorded to the chairman, Mr J.. B. Keith, the secretary, Mr J. C. Boddington, and the surgeon, Or Archer Hosking, for their past services.
