KNOX CHURCH GARDEN PARTY.
According to present indications Knox Church Garden Party will be favoureed with fine weather, and with a fine day there is sure to ba a large gathering at Mr McLaren's lovely grounds. A comprehensive programme has been prepared to amusa both old and young. There will be seven heavily-ladon stalls with a great selection of fancy work, p ouUce, cakes and swtetts, and, as the draper's say, "everything at less than cost price," as well as croquet, rounders, bedmaking, blindfold racs and, numerous other competitions to keep dull care away. The beautiful flowers, shady trees cosy corners and afternoon teas will tend to make a most enjoyable afternoon. The evening will also be beyond the average. Music by the orchestra, vocal items by our popular amateurs, and gramaphone selections, will conclude a most enjoyable day. In the event of a wet day a programme will be carried out, as arranged, Knox Hall. A brake will leave Kankin's corner at 2.30 and at 3 p.m., the fare being the small charge of sixpence.
