* Own Correspondent. Saturday. Light warm showers continue to vfaJW doing'all the good that could <w be desired. The autumn feed is fairly and stock taken right through lock well. The supply of milk at the creamery, though falling off, has held well this month. Dairy farmers who are making their own butter are having a trying time with it, through the heat affecting the cream. One farmer intends selling his cows. The school picnic was held yesterday. Owing to the'inclement state of the weather the hall was placed at the disposal of the committee- Between the showers some races were
--, run for useful prizes. After the *** young folk had tired themselves the call was cleared for a social evening. Taking it altogether a most enjoyable day was spent. , -A windmill has been erected in the ; school grounds, for the purpoge of obtaining water for the gardens, and is working satisfactorily.
