(Own Correspondent.) Monday. Messrs Campin and Hamer were the successful tenderers for repainting the Rechabite Hall. A commencement wa3 made with the woisk this morning. The local corps of the Salvation Army purpose holding their harvest festival shortly. Mr J. H. McLeod, of Pembrokestreet, has received an order for three 850 gallon cheese vats for the EketabUna district. Large congregations were present at St Mark's Church yesterday The forerunner of the General Mission was unable to keep; the appointment for the evening, having to leave on Saturday for Wellington. His place i was filled by the Rev. H. Watson, of Masterton, whose .sermon touched j upon the Mission Bro. R. H. Tay'br, of Addington, Christchurch, who has been visiting the Re?habite Tents between Wellington and Gisborne, passed through Carterton this afternoon on his return home.
