THE ELECTIONS.

The London County Council elections resulted in the return of 59 Moderates and 58 Progressives and Socialists. A re-count has been ordered in connection with the remaining seat.

LONDON, March 6. , There were small polls and general apathyjn connection with the elections.
CANDIDATES POLL THE SAME. TWO LADIES ELECIED. Received March 8 r 1 a.m. LONDON, March V. Irf the London County Council elections the re-count for Central Finsbury, the remaining seat, resulted — Teraphill, Progressive 3,460 Kostron, Moderate h. 460. Of tr.e aldermen continuing in office nine are Moderates, at.d two Progressives,. therefore a Moderate majority is assured. Two ladies &ere elected, including the daughter of the Chief Rabbi. Despite a possible tie the Moderates secured the plurality of 39,663 votes. Forty-eight per cent, of the voters went to the poll.
