LONDON MARKETS. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, report having received the following cable messages from their London house under date of the 3rd instant:—Frozen meat: There is good demand for New Zealand lamb and mutton, and a fair demand for New Zealand beef. With a firm marKet for beef and lamb and a firmer market for mutton, quotations are as follows: —New Zealand ox beef, fores, 3d, hinds 3Jd; New Zealand prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury, heavy s|d, light s|d; North Island, heavy sd, light s|d; New Zealand crossbred mutton, Canterbury, heavy, 4d, lieht 4£d; North Island, heavy 31d, light 3Jd; Australian good average quality crossbred lamb, heavy 4§d, light 4§d; Australian prime crossbred mutton, heavy 3£d, light 3§d. There is a scarcity of Canterbury lamb. Prices generally will probably decline when arrivals are heavier. Skins: Combing skins are at par to £d higher, whilst clothing skins are Jd lower.. Tallow: Prices in general are 3d to Gd hierher. C.I.F. prices are no better. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltrf., are in receipt of cable advice £ m their London office undei' date, ivlarch 3rd: Merino wool market has an upward tendency. Crossbred wool - , The market is very.firm. Sheepskins: Clothing merino and short and shown skins have declined per lb since last sales. Merino combing, crossbred combing and crossbred lambs," are par to Jd per lb dearer.
