N.B.—Each candidate is required by law to deposit with the Returning Officer at the time of nomination the -sum of THREE POUNDS. Such deposit will be forfeited by any candidate who, in the event of a poll being taken, does not receive One Eighth of the number of votes polled by the successful candidate receiving the fewest votes, but otherwise such'deposit will be returned.
