A STEADFAST ATTORNEY.
REFUSES TO BE BRIBED. Received February 25, 10.45 p.m. NEW YORK, February 25. Mr Garup, Assistant District Attorney, who had charge of the x Government's inquiry in regard to the operations of the American Beef Trust, states that the agents of the Trust in Jersey City attempted to bribe him by'offering him £200,000 to drop the enquiry. The statement h as created a sensation.
