TH3MPJO.S-PAir.tfd! PldfJ^S. Despite the inclemency of the weather, a large audience assembled at the Foresters' Hall, last night, when the excellent entertainment was presented. The different pictures were well received. "The Airship Destroyer" perhaps taking the palm. This picture is undoubtedly a novelty, and causes a great deal of reflection as to the possibilities of the airship ii? warfare. The pictorial adaptation of Cooper's famous story "Leather stocking, or the Last of the Mohicans" is a fine subject, and the adventures of the Indian hero were keenly followed. As might be expected "The Clockmaking Industry" proved very interesting, showing as it does, the various processes through which the metal, and other component parts, have to 70 before the finished timepiece is ready for thb market. "The Rulers of Europe'' is a series of portraits of the various sovpreigns of Europe, including King Edward, the Kaiser, and the lately deceased Leopold of Belgium. The programme will be shnwn to-night for the last time, and will be replaced on Monday by a new collection of scenes. THE MUSICAL ALL BLACKS.
The Musical All Blacks, who show here on Tuesday next, March Ist, come to us with glowing accounts from the various papers. An Otago paper speaks of them as follows: — "Such a cordial reception as was given to this talented company the first night of its re appearance was extended to the second performance of the season in the Municipal Theatre. The programme was that presented the previous evening, the opening and closing portions of the entertainment consisting of animated pictures, while the second part introduced the Black Family in their musical specialties. As already stated, the pictures shown are fresh and striking in subject, and are well produced and attractive. During the musical portion of the programme the audience became quite demonstrative, and from first to last the programme numbers had to be doubled in response to encores. In all cases the artistes acceded to the demands of the audience, and a delightful entertainment.was rendered doubly enjoyable by its being bo lengthened. In the sound judgment displayed in the character of the music selected as in its musicianly interpretation and artistic presentation, this part of the programme is charming, its outstanding feature being, a bright attractive vivacity, and the easy yet confident touch of the performers illustrates the exceptional ability that has built up the reputation of the All Blacks. The performance is throughout clever, refined and dainty." This will be the last opportunity of seeing the Ail Blacks' present combination, as at the end of next year the lady members of the family retire into private life. Popular prices are to be charged here, viz., 3s, 2s, and'ls, and seats may be reserved at Miss Rive's.
