WEDDING.

ABBOTT—GORDON

A very pretty wedding was celebrated at the Presbyterian Church, HunterviUe, on Wednesday, the contracting parties being Miss Emily Isabel Gordon, only daughter of the late Mr Robert Gordon, of Rangitikei, and Mr Edwin Wilmore Abbott, secretary of the Wellington branch of the Shearers' Union, and third son of Mr William Abbott," Dalefield, Wairarapa. The bride was charmingly attired in a cream tailQr-made costume, lined with white satin; and wore a cream hat with large ostrich plume, and was given away by her brother, Mr A. R. Gordon. The bridesmaids. Miss Rhoda Abbott, sister of the bridegroom, Miss May Climo, of HunterviUe. and Miss M. Gordon, adopted sister of the bride, were dressed in cream Empire gowns, with heliotrope hats. Mr Gus Abbott, of Dalefield, acted as best man. As the party left the church the Wedding March was played by Miss B. Marshall. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. J. a. Hall. A reception was afterwards held at Stevenson's Tea Rooms. A large number of valuable and useful presents were received from friends, including one from Mr
