WOOL SALE,
The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd., and United Farmers' Co-operative Association, report as follows:—The fourth wool sale of the season was held in the Town Hall on Tuesday last. There was a full attendance of, buyers, and spirited competition. The bulk of the wqcl offered was in heavy condition, and a large proportion rough and Jogstained. Prices for this .class of wool were |d per lb higher than at previous sale, held on January 3K There was considerable competition for lambs' wool, and prices realised were excellent. We quote as follows :
Medium crossbred and Rom ey, clean, 9|d to 10fd. Medium crossbred, heavy condition, 9d to lOd.
Crossbred, /dingy and inferior 8d to 9d
Lambs' wool, medium 8d to lOd. Lambs' wool, seedy and inferior, 6£d to Bd. Bellies and pieces 5d to 6|d. ~, We quote the • following . among - other lines sold:—T. Maber, Porirua, ! 6 bales lambs Hid; T. H. Groves, t Tawataia, 5 bales Romney 10fd, and 4 bale lamb lid; W. A. Grace, Wai-nui-o-amta, 3 bales lambs 10|d; W. F. Jacob, Kiwitea, 3 bales lambs, lid.
