Stewards' Handicap, five furlongs. —Tarina 7.8, l;Kareroa 7.12, 2; Waiata 7.0, 3. Also started—Hohungatahi 8.0, Tauhari 6.7. Won by half a length. Time, lmin 3sec. Timaru Hack Handicap, six furlongs.—Red Wing 7.10, 1; Kanewaru 7.8, 2; Queen's Prize 7.0, 3. Also started —Toanga 8.10, Zinnia 8.4, Timothy 7.10. Lady Lupin 7.5, Whana 7.2. Won by half a length. Time, lmin 16 l-ssec.

Taranaki Cup Handicap, one mile andja quarter.—Lady Medallist 7.13, 1; Uhlando 7.6, 2; Waitapu 7.12, 3. Also started.—Sandstream 8.11, Mendip 8.0, No Trumps 7.4, Coromandel 7.3, Chase Mab 6.7. Lady Medallist made a strong run along the back, and was in the lead at the three furlongs post. entering the straight Lady Medallist was increasing her lead, when Uhlando came fast on the outside at the bend, but could only get within a length of the favourite. Waitapu was two lengths away, and Mendip was fourth. Time, 2min 11 2-ssec. First Welter Handicap, one mile. —Swimming Belt 9.0 1; Cyrene, 2; Miss Advance, 3. Also started Perolina 8.5, Astraea 8.0, Starboard 7.1, 2. Won by nearly two lengths. Time, lmin 41 2-ssec. Okato Hack Handicap, one mile —Silva 7.0, 1; Paul 7.9, 2; Research 8.8, 3. Also started —Highden 7.1, The Reiver 6.12 Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 45 2-ssec. Flying Handicap, six furlongs.— Clemora 7.1, 1; Golden Eagle Wee Trinket 7.2, 3. Also started--Lethean 7.5, Mulga Bill 6.9. Won by half a length. Time, lmin 15sec. Hack Scurry, five furlongs..— Emblem 8.0, 1; Nukuhau 8.0, 2; StTawa 8.0, 3. Also started —Speedy Meg, Prancer, St. Kildare, St, Prior 8.0. Emblem was never headed, beating Nukuhau by three . lengths.
