A further development is recorded in connection with the Rutland Hotel fire sensation. The police have ascertained that three parcels were ship- 1 ped by Davis to Nelson per the Arapawa on January 11th. Advice -.i was received this afternoon that en- |
quiries in Nelson revealed that the stock said by Davis to be worth £309. and insured there by him for £2OO, had been found stored in a Nelson auction room, and that he had ordered it to be withheld from sale pending further instructions.
