CARLTON v. CARTERTON. The Carlton and Carterton teams met for the second time this season on Saturday, on the Park Oval. Carlton won the toss, and batted first, but put together only the moderate total of 107. Waugh 29, Phillips 21, Hoar 19 and Madsen 38, being the only members of the team to make a stand. Carterton went to the wickets, and at the end of the day's play have 3 wickets down for 64, Prow not out 20, Hart not out 16, Smart 15, and Hawke 10, reaching double figures. S. Matthew's A and Masterton continued their match on the Park Oval on Saturday, the match eventually ending in favour of S. Matthew's by 47 runs. S. Matthew's made 48 and 141 in their first and second innings respectively, and Masterton 66 and 76. , S. MATTHEWS B v. CARTER- I TON. The above match was continued at Carterton on Saturday, but the visitors were unable to do the task allotted them, and consequently lost by 6 wickets and 4 runs. Carterton's scores were 44 and 74 for 4 wickets, j while S. Matthew's total was 114 j (50 and 64).
