AMUSEMENTS.
THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES, i The Thompson-Payne pictures were greeted by a large audience on Saturday night, and the programme was keenly followed. The fine dramatic subject, "A Child of the Forest," again brought forth cheers and appaluse, and was ably seconded by "The Bridge of Sighs." These pictures alone were well worth the price of admission. To-night, patrons are promised an equally good series, notable among which is an American dramatic study entitled "'ln Old Kentucky.' The historical subjects previously produced were received so well that the proprietors are producing another "Julius Caesar'" so well known m Roman history. "In Zambesi" is a fine scenic subject, and should be well liked. The comic elemeent will be supplied by "'The Wrong Hat,'" "He Tried on the Handcuffs," "Charming Children," and "The Surffagette's Dream." Another change is due on Thursday nierht.
