LONDON WOOL SALES.
T-.e New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., are in receipt of the following cablegram' from their London office:—The salesclosed strong. Of the quantity offered at the recent series 174,000 bales were sold, of which 83,000' were taken for the Continent,, and 12:000' for America, 6,000 bales being held over: As compared withlasfr sales closing rates; prices are about 5 per cent to 7£ per cent, higher for crossred scoured, medium, greasy, crossbred lambs and coarse and medium crossbred slipe, about par to 5 per cent., higher for gtfeasy scoured merino, and about 7£> to 10 pe» cent, higher for coarse greasy crossbred. Average'current London value of the undernpted descriptions of New Zealand greasy wool:—Good merino, 14d; medium merino,. U&d;inferior merino, 9jd: fine crosebred, ]sd; medium, crossbred, 14d; coarse crossbred,. 40's 10£ d, 36's- lOd.
