PAHIATUA STOCK SALE.

(From Our Resident Reporter). Tuesday. The Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report on their stock sale held to-day as follow:— There was a fair yarding of sheep and cattle. Sheep were somewhat easier, and we only sold one line of s.m. ewes at 7s 23. Cattle changed hands freely at late rates. Fat cows 565, 60s; store cows, 40s, 545; bulls 50s, 60s; weaners, 14s, 245„ 335. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their P.F.A. sale ot to-day as follows:—We submitted a very heavy yarding of sheep and] a good yarding to a large attendance. The sheepmentered comprised lambs of "medium quality, which did no meet with keen competition,all sheep of good quality met with ready sale. All classes of cattle sold well especially young steers. Quotations:—Young ewes 12s 4d to 13a 3d; aged ewes in poor condition, 3a, 3s 3d; forward wethers, lis to lis 8d; 2-tooth wethers, 9s 4d to 10s 6d; good lambs, 6s 6d, 7s; medium lambs, 4s 3d. 4s lid, 5s 9d, 6s Id; others, 3s to 3s 3d; culls, 2s, 2s 9d; good Lincoln rams,£2 to £2 10s; 3yr steers, £4 lis to £4 13s 6d; 2yr steers, £3 6s, £3 Is; 6 18-month steers, £2 lis 6d, £2 12s 6d; good weaners to 365; others, 16s to 265; springing dairy cows, to £5 ss; cows and calves, £3 12s to £3 14s; forward cows, £3 'Bs to £4; heifers, springing £3 10s; heifers in calf £2; 17s; empty heifers, £2 10s; bulls,. 255, £2 10s.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Pahiatua sale of Tuesday as follows:—We had a heavy yarding of sheep, all of which we; disposed of, and a small entry of ' cattle. Prices ranged as follows:: Cull lambs to 23 6d; store lambs,. 3s4d, 4s 6d, 6s 6d, 6s lOd; cull, ewes. 2s 9d to 7s 6d; cull tooth wethers,, 7s. 9dtoßs; 2 and 4«tooth wethers lis* lis sd, lls6d; weaners, 25s to 27a 6d; 2 i and 3-year heifers in calf, £3 Is to £3 6s.
