A PARIS TRAGEDY.

Thain, a cashier in the Lille branch of the Bank of France, called at a fashionable private house to re ceive 4,000 francs, and was robbed and murdered. His body was discovered in a garret. Antoine Favier, the owner of the house, absconded with 6,000 francs belonging to the Lille branch.
The townsfolk tried to lynch' Madame Favire r who was arrested by the mounted police, who rescued her.
