STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at] their Greytwon yards yesterday. Owing to the inclement weather sheep did not come forward up to advertised numbers, but a full yarding of cattle has to be recorded' Sheep were represented by shorn and woolly lambs and all lines offered found purchasers under the hammer. We had some nice lines of young cattle yarded, also some fair three-year steers. Prices for both sheep and cattle wore on a par with those lately ruling. We quote as follows: —Medium shorn Romney cross lambs, 5s 6d to 5s 9d; woolly lambs, small,'4s 9d; heifers in calf, £3 7s 2-year steers, £4 15s; a line of medium 3-year steers brought £5 2s 6d; empty cows, £2 2s; empty heifers, £2 6s to £2 10s.
