Brown, 1; Spectre 7.0, 2;"Waipa 7.4, 3. Also started —Prince Leo, Fraulein, Waitoha, Jill, Prophet. Won by a length. Time, lmin 44 4-ssec. Calliope 5 furlongs— Wenonah 7.0, ts. W. Btown, 1; Solus, 7.13, Hamadeyad 7.0, 3. Also started—Merrigee, Doughboy, Princess Soult, Columbia, Veitalia, Lucilla and Master Theory. Won by three parts of a length. Time, lmin 11 2-ssec.
Zealandia Handicap, 51 furlongs— Waiari 7.8, C. Brown, I; Tarina 8.0, 2; Allswell 6.13, 3. Also started —Maiora, Aim well, Hyperion, Admiral Soult, Lady Dot, Zinnia and Excalabur. Won by a length and ahalf. Time, lmin Usee. Takapuna Cup, 1 mile and three furlongs—Uranium 8.3, Brady, 1; Wauchope 8.10. 2; Tanekeha 7.9, 3. Also started—Ngapuka, Lochbuhie, Coromandel, Rimlock, Aristocrat, Azoff, Epsom Las 3 and Elegance. When the terraces were reached Uranium had charge; but at a little further on Wauchope challenged and the pair raced past the post loosed together, Uranium getting the verdict by halfa head. Time, 2min 32sec. Ferry Handicap, 5i furlongs— Madame Soult, 9.0, C. Brown, 1; Rob the Ranter 8.6, 2; Steplink, 8.5, 3. Also started—Castle Blaney, Captain Soult, Flying Soult, Muscadine, Mary Anne, Monocle, Parawai, Aristos, Matarere, Pairawaetu, Won by a neck. Time e lmin 13sec. Orewa Handicap Hurdles, If mile —Leo 10.6, Potter, 1; Hoanga 9.0, 2; First Barrel 9.0, 3. Also started —Rangihaeta, Sabre. Won by two lengths. Time, 3mi.i 29sec. First Pony Handicap, 5 furlongs— Peegy Prvde 6.7, R. W. Brown, 1; Miss Stella 8.2, 2; Maika 7.4, 3. Asojstarted—Mistime, Cyrona, Effulgence Won by three lengths. Time, lmin 13 l-ssec.
