township PRACTICALLY DEMOLISHED. BIRDS, DOGS, RABBITS KILLED WITH HAIL. United PressAssooiation—By Electric Telegraph Copyright, Received January 31, 1.15 a.m. SIDNEY, January 30. A terrific cyclone, practically demolished Brewarrina on Friday evening. The telegraph lines were interrupted, but are now restored. Details are meagre. No lives are reported to have been lost, but every building suffered more or less damage. Six inches of rain fell in an hour and [a half. A Hood is feared. Enormous hail fell. Thousands of birds were killed by the hail, and the streets strewn with fowls, dogs and rabbits, also killed by hail.
COLLIERS ORE 4TE A RIOT, SET FIRE TO A CLUB. LONDON, January 28. Three hundred and fifty West Hartlepool colliers created a riot, and set fire to a club-house in the town, doing damage to the extent of £B,OOO. They also attacked and damaged the residence of the mine manager, who defended his house with firearms. _
