SPEECH CRITICISED. CANADIAN'S RELATIONS TO THE IKRONE. Received January 28, 9.30 a.m. OTTAWA, January 27. Critics severely comment upon the speech delivered at Toronto by Sir Wilfrid Laurier Canadian Premier, on the sth inat, in the course of which he said: — "We are under the suzerainty of the King of England, and bow. the knee to him; but the King has no more rights over us than are allowed by the Canadian Parliament. This is every true loyal Britisher's view of the relations with the throne.*'
