Admiral Lord Charles Beresford, M.P , in a speech at Dartford, in Kent, said that if,the first-class cruiser Invincible has been commissioned last March she would never have been able to fire her twelve-inch guns if she were threatened. The Invincible was ordered into dock and, her crew was transferred to another ship.
