STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Masterton stock sale held yesterday as follows:—We submitted a yarding of some 4,000 sheep to a large attendance of buyers. Bidding at the start of the sale was not animated, but improved towards the end. We have to report an almost total clearance at prices slightly in excess of those ruling at late sales. The few cpttle yarded sold readily at full market rates. We qucte:— Sheep: 4-tooth wethers iOs lid to lis 4d; 2 tooth wethers, 10s to 10s 6d; inferior wethers, 7s lOd to 8s lid; black face rape lambs, 7s 4d, 7s 9d to 8s; long woolled lambs, 5s to 7s 4a; cull lambs, 3s 2d; store ewes, 6ti. Cattle.—Bullocks, £5 10s to £7; 2 to 24 year steers, ±"4 &s; tat cows, £4 7s6d; cows in milk, £6; calves, 10s.
