Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on theirjPongaroa sale of 14th inst. as follows:—-We stibmittea a very heavy yarding of both sheen and cattle in the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.'s, Ltd., yards to an exceptionally large attendance of farmers, i'he yarding comprised two thousand sheep and close on two hundred head of cattle. We experienced strong competition for all classes ot stock, especially for two-tooth ewes and wethers and young steers, everything changing hands excepting some aged ewes. We quote: —Two-tooth wethers, 10s Id, 10s 6d, 10s 7d and 10s Sd; 2-tooth ewes, 14s and 14s Id; good mixed shorn lambs, 5s lid; shorn ewe lambs, 6s; wethers, lambs, 4s 2d; small woolly lambs, ss; forward bullocks, £5 17s 6d; 2\ and 3-year steers, £4 16s to £5 Is; 18-month and 2-year steers, £3 12s, £3 15s to £4 Is; weaner steers, 35s 6d;fat cows, £3 12s to £4 12s 6d; store cows, £2 to £3 2s; cows and calves, £3 9s to £3 13s; Jersey cows, heifers in calf, £3 12s 6d; weaner heifers, 22s 6d; bulls, £2 to £2 15s. Our next Pongaroa sale will be held on February 11th.
