(From Our Own Correspondent.) Saturady. The County Council staff are replanking the small bridge on this side of the railway line at Dalefield. Mr Geo. Canton, at one time Borough overseer here, and now of Hawera, is at present on a visit to tfils't&wn. A much needed shower of rain fell here this afternoon. The Sev. H. I. and Mrs Stealey, of the ulareville Native College, are at present on a visit to Auckland. An anniversary dwe is to' be held at Clareville on Friday evening. The results of the December tests of the Dalefield Cow Testing Association shows that the best average herd for December was No. 1, with 3,3491bs of milk. 3.8 test, and 51.071 lbs butter fat. No. 20 is next with 1,2001bs of milk, 391 test, 46.96bs of butter fat. The best individual cow was from No. 1, milk 2,0621b5, '• test 3.8, fat 78.36b15. The wqrst in- J dividual cow gave 5891 oS milk, 2.8 test, 16.491bs fat, and belonged to herd 1(5. The average cow of the hole association yielded 1,041 lbs milk, test 3.75, fat 39.051b5. The Wairarapa cargo in the Kaipara, which came to grief in Rorgitoto channel yesterday afternoon, included 500 cases of cheese from Dalefield, i 33 cases from Parkvale, and 35 cases from Longbush.
