SCIENTIFIC AGRICULTURE.
In the House Mr Massey urged that a Scientific Commission should be set up to take evidence from experts in the Dominion in regard to the organisation of a complete curriculum that would enable the young New Zealander to perfect himself in the science and practice of agriculture. A small commission could easily take the evidence of agricultural and educational experts, arid evolve a complete scheme of instruction, taking the student from the primary school to the University and bringing him at last to a degree in agriculture. Undoubtedly some progressive btep must be taken, remarks the "Manawatu Standard," and Mr Massey's proposal, as being the simplest that has yet been made, deserves the earnest attention of the authoriities.
