OPEN-AIR PICTURES.
To-night the first series of the Austral Uniscope Company's, open-air pictures will be presented, and judging by the appearance of the Showgrounds, where three electricians are busy at work, there is going to be something out of the ordinary by the way of pictorial entertainments. Ihe pictures are to be screened in tiont of the grandstand, .which will be 11 - by electric light, and giving patrons a comfortable seat and shelter. This evening's programme consists of some beautiful subjects. Ihe Little Dog Clipper" is said to be a fascinating film, full of sensationj and pathos. "The Planter s Wife, stirring melo-drama. "The Tragedy of Japan," and "Panther of Bengal are beautiful films Amongst t„e comics "Pegg's First Prance, Rubber Shoes" and "Two Pig Tails are stated to be first-class films. Ihe Municipal Brass Band leaves e Post Office at 7.30, and will also render the musical portion of trie 1 programme at the grounds T:he a mission to the grounds are fixed at one shilling for adults and sixpence for children-
