One backed right in front of the tram, and was killed, while another, for which the owner refused £SO that day, had a leg broken clean off and ran on three legs some distance, when it was shot by a resident One of the ladies was thrown in front of the car, but all the riders got off with only severe shakings. The horseß killed were both young and valuable'animals.
