VISIT OF ENGLISH TEAM TO NEW ZEALAND.
PROSPECTS OF A MATCH WITH WAIRARAPA. Recently Mr A. C. Pragnell, Secretary of the Wairarapa Hockey Association, wrote to the Secretary of the New Zealand Hockey Association, in reference to the visit of the English hockey team to New Zealand, and asking the latter Association to revise the programme so as to include a match with Wairarapa. The Secretary of the New Zealand Association has replied to Mr Pragnell, stating that the Executive had gone into the matter carefully at the time, and could not see its way clear to include a match with the Wairarapa Association. He had now, however, been instructed to enquire from-the Wairarapa Association the holiday observed in its district, and what amount it would be prepared to guarantee for a match with the vißiting 'team. ■
