TENUI, January 3. The Tenui Club's annual sports wore held on the Ist irst, in a paddock kindly lent for the occasion by Mr I). H. Speedy. The weather j was perfect, and the attendance j huge, all the events were closely contested, which, reflects credit on the handicappers, Messrs McGann and Stephen. The fields were got off the mark well together by the ' starter, Mr Mclsaacs, while the judges, Messrs Groves and Hancock, gave general satisfaction. Mr Bouzaid supplied frse music from a phonograph, which was much appreciated. .Tha iiiiht refreshment booth was in the hand 3of Mr W. C- Page. ' A special word of praise is due to the joint s-:cietaries, Messrs C.'N. stillborn and S. Schofield,. for their untiring efforts for several months past in working the sports
