This match gives Canterbury the banner for the next twelve months, with 7£ points; Wellington being next with 6J Doints, and Taranaki third with 5J points. In the Auckland championships, in the men's singles, Ebbet beat Dr Keith 2—6, 6—4, B—6; Prouse beat Maddox, 6—3, 6—2; Peacock beat Sellar, 6—2, 6 —4; H. W. Brown beafc Mowbray, 6 —4, 6 —l; Henderson beat F. Wilding, 7—5, 7—5; Fisher beat Grossman, 6—3, 6—3. In ladies' singles, Miss Nunnelly beat Miss L Gorrie, 6—o, 6—Oj Miss Cuck beat Miss Francis, 6—o, 6—o; Miss Dimant beat Miss Eileen Wellwood, 6—2, 6—l. In the combined doubles, Fisherand Miss Travers " beat Henderson and Miss B.iss, 6 —o, 6—4; Miss. Nunnelly and Wilding beat Miss Cooper and Hunt, 6 —o, 6—2; Miss Braithwaite and Peacock beat Miss. Duder and Sutton, 6—2, 7—5.
