Strike matters have been quiet during the holidays. A number of prominent residents in the southern districts are moving towards the direction of bringing owners and men together. It is believed a ballot will shortly be taKen in the southern district on the question of accepting a Wages Hoard.

DELEGATES DISAGREE. Received December 28, 9 lu p.m. SYDNEY, Dece.^«r2B. The Northern Miners' delegates, who have broken from the Strike Congress, held a meeting and decided to reconstruct the congress as representative of mine employees only. The meeting also resolved to ta'<e action with a view to furthering the cause of Unionism and strengthering the position.
