Received December 21, 8.55 p.m. LONDON, December 21. Much satisfaction is expressed in rowing circles at R Arnst's willingness to compete in [the Zambesi race. The promoters suggest that the race take place between August 18th and 25th. NELSON, December 21. With reference to the London cable announcing Arnst's acceptance of Barry's challenge Arnst informed a "Colonist" reporter to-night that tha negotiations were concluded by cable with the London "Sportsman" to-day. The sum of £I,OOO is to be cut up. The winner will receive £750. Arnst is Jto receive £3OO for his expenses. The race is to be rowed at Victoria Falls on the Zambesi river, but the date has not yet been arranged. ,Arnst states that his request for a side wager was declined. So far as he knows at present will be accompanied by his brother, Jack Arnst, as trainer
